WHAT IT IS

The Jefferson Fit cold plunge is a single-unit immersion tank designed for brief cold exposure after training or on recovery days.

Cold water immersion is commonly used to support muscle recovery, circulation, and mental clarity. Sessions are short, intentional, and member-directed.

WHY MEMBERS USE IT

  • Post-workout recovery
Cold exposure can help reduce muscle soreness and inflammation after training.

  • Improved circulation
The cold triggers blood vessel constriction followed by increased blood flow once you warm back up.

  • Mental reset
Short cold sessions often leave members feeling alert, focused, and refreshed.

  • Stress relief
Many members use the plunge as a quick way to decompress and reset.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Sessions are typically brief, often 1–3 minutes

  • The initial sensation is intense, then becomes manageable

  • Slow, steady breathing helps regulate the experience

  • Two cold plunge tubs are available, allowing for greater flexibility and availability during busy times

  • Many members pair cold plunge sessions with the sauna for contrast

A laundry or drying machine with a built-in water bath, with a digital display showing 46 degrees and a gray cover on top, located inside a room near a window.

HOW TO USE THE COLD PLUNGE

  • Step in calmly and with intention. There’s no rush.

  • Slow, steady breaths help your body adjust to the temperature.

  • There’s no benefit to pushing past your comfort level.

  • Dry off and allow your body temperature to return to normal.
